Supplier Management
Punch Powertrain has a systematic and recurring system of supplier assessment and evaluation. The combination of capability and proven performance serves as the basis for the selection and commissioning process.

The supplier classification is an important element in the supplier management cycle. Only suppliers that are considered as A and B suppliers based on strategic importance and an assessment of performed services are included in the Approved Supplier List. This Approved Supplier List is mandatory only these suppliers may be given orders.
Suppliers designated with a C (suppliers on probation) are not permitted to receive new orders. The supplier cannot stay at this level permanently, but must quickly return to an A or B classification. If this does not happen, the supplier is then removed from the list.
This supplier classification is based on hard facts of the services performed on a monthly basis. Services are evaluated according to quality (ppm), adherence to delivery times and quantities, and the amount actual pricing deviates from target pricing. In addition, we evaluate the soft facts once or twice each year depending on importance.
We consider the supplier evaluation an important management tool by means of which we can identify potential for improvement in feedback discussions with suppliers. Each supplier evaluation records the differences between performed and desired services.

Punch Powertrain will work towards improvements in suppliers with large deviations, and specifically with those processes that cause the greatest problems.
The supplier development program was created to exploit the optimization potential in the entire process chain. It contains a systematic method for the integrated optimization of technology, quality, costs, and logistics. This program provides benefits for both sides, provided there is a commitment to discuss all process-related subjects openly.
We place value on a win-win situation where you can grow and evolve within or world.
